Environmental Assessment
The process begins with an assessment of potential contamination linked to past land use, based on the Hazardous Activities and Industries List (HAIL). Where risks are identified, targeted soil sampling and lab analysis are undertaken to check compliance with soil quality standards. If contamination is confirmed, a remediation plan is developed and implemented under supervision, with validation testing and a Soil Validation Report confirming the site's suitability post-remediation.
Preliminary Site Investigations (PSI) to assess the potential for contamination in accordance with the Hazardous Activities and Industries List (HAIL).
Where the potential for contamination has been identified. Detailed Site Investigation (DSI) including soil sampling for laboratory testing, to compare to the relevant Soil Contamination Standards (SCS).
Where contaminant concentration exceeds the acceptable background SCS values, a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) to recommend the procedure by which to remediate the site.
Monitoring and supervision of site work during the implementation of the RAP, including validation testing of remaining soils and presentation of the results in a Soil Validation Report (SVR).
